My husband and I decided to celebrate my birthday tonight - Thursday night and a week late - so we could take advantage of a restaurant that had been recommended to us as having a great Thursday Date Night Deal - $45 for dinner for two. The restaurant is called The Falls Cafe and it's located in Ramsey, MN. Here's a link to their website:

It's in an up and coming area of Ramsey with a lot of new construction of upscale apartments and shops/boutiques. The Falls Cafe has a modern feel with cozy seating and a very low noise level. The food was American style (but not bar food - actual dinners) and the Thursday Date Night turned out to be a very good bargain.
Included in our $45 Date Night was a bottle of the house wine that we could re-cork and take with us if we didn't finish it,
unlimited salad bar visits for two (this is the best salad bar I've ever eaten - my husband thought so too),
two entrees (choices were 10 oz. sirloin steak, walleye fillet and bruchetta chicken) with a potato choice and vegetable choice,
and lastly, a choice of dessert (they had specific desserts that went with the "deal" but if you didn't care for any of those choices, they offered other desserts at a discount). We opted for one of the "deal" desserts - turtle cheesecake.
When paying, we got a flyer for other Falls Cafe deals. Monday night is Burger Night. A quarter pound cheeseburger with steak fries for $5. I think our family of 5 could afford that! Tuesdays, Kids eat free with the purchase of a regular price adult meal and Wednesday night is Pasta Night - a free glass of house wine with the purchase of a regular pasta entree. This is definitely a place we will return to on more days than just Thursdays!
