Tonight for supper we had left over appetizers from our Super Bowl party. One appetizer in particular I was looking forward to eating...... a cheese ball with crackers. It is such a simple recipe - definitely not a health food though.
Start with 8 oz. of softened cream cheese.
Add 1/2 cup of softened butter.
Mince a medium onion and about 3/4 of jar of green olives. You can add more or less of either of these to get the flavor you'd like.
Sprinkle in some garlic salt to taste. The garlic favor gets stronger the longer the cheese ball sits so use sparingly. Stir well and shape into a ball.
Spread out 1/2 cup of chopped pecans and roll the ball onto the nuts - gently pressing the pecans into the cheese.
It looks pretty and tastes even better!
