I wanted to share what some friends of ours are doing for their anniversary tomorrow night. My husband won't be home but if I can wrangle a date, I may do this too. What are they doing that I could do with a friend? They are going to Opening Night for Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion. It sounds like a great night of fun. Here are the specifics:
When: Saturday, September 14th at 5:00pm
Where: The Fitzgerald Theater in downtown St. Paul, MN
What: If you don't have tickets to the show, no worries. At 5:00pm, Prairie Home Companion will be broadcast outside the theater. Find a seat in the street and take a listen. A Meatloaf & Mashed Potatoes Supper ($5 per person) will be served outside the theater at 6:00pm with entertainment provided by The Guy's All Star Shoe Band, Chuck Mead & His Grassy Knoll Boys, and Jearlyn & Jevetta Steele. There will be contests for prizes and a street dance from 7pm to 10pm.
For more information, here is a link to the Fitzgerald Theater's website fitzgeraldtheater.publicradio.org/events/ Maybe I'll see you there!
