Leather & Rhinestone Friendship Bracelet

My daughter decided that she wanted to make a bunch of friendship bracelets for her friends for Valentine's Day.  These are super easy and require very few supplies.  Here is the supply list:  leather cording (whatever width you'd like your bracelet to be), rhinestone chains, craft lace and beads with a hole big enough for the craft lace.

Cut the rhinestone chain so it fits comfortably around your wrist.
Cut a length of the leather cording about 12" long and tie a knot in one end.
Tie a loose knot in the craft lace leaving about an 8" tail.  Slip it over the leather cording knot and attach in the rhinestone chain - pulling tight under the first link in the rhinestone chain.

Twist the craft lace around the leather and the rhinestone chain.
At the end, tie a knot with the craft lace around the leather cording.
Cut the end of the craft lace leaving about an 8" tail.
Tie loose knots close to the ends of the bracelet.
Slip the opposite cut ends into the loose knots and pull the knot tight.
When you pull the ends, the bracelet will close and should fit your wrist.
Loosen the bracelet and tie knots in the craft lace close to the end of the bracelet.
Add one of the beads and tie another knot to keep the bead in place.

Cut off the excess craft lace, put the bracelet on your wrist and pull the ends.  There you have a Friendship Bracelet.
Here is a modification to this bracelet.  We cut the leather cording and rhinestone chain long enough to wrap around my daughter's wrist three times.  We followed the above instructions but instead of doing the loops at the end for the closures, we added jump rings, a lobster clasp and a rhinestone charm.  It turned into a fun bracelet.
