Pastries with Fruit

My daughter made dessert tonight.  It was sooooooo good!  Here's how she did it.

Thaw out pastry dough.  When completely soft, roll it out on a lightly floured surface.
Use a cookie cutter to cut out small shapes.

Place the cutouts on a greased cookie sheet.  We put foil on the cookie sheet first and then sprayed non-stick spray on the foil.
Melt 2 Tablespoons butter and brush the melted butter on the cut outs.
Lightly sprinkle the cutouts with sugar.
Bake the pastry dough in a 375 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes - until pastry puffs and turns golden brown.

Mix strawberries, raspberries and blueberries (we were out of blueberries) with a little bit of sugar and vanilla.
Place two pastries on a plate and place fruit around the edges.

Place a few pieces of fruit on top of the pastries and add a bit of whip cream.  If you are making this for teenage boys, add a GLOB of whipped cream!

The last step is to add a little sprinkles then it's ready to eat!
 She did a great job!

"Baking is how you start kids at cooking in the kitchen.  It's fun whether it's baking bread or cookies.  With baking, you have to be exact when it comes to ingredients."  -Sandra Lee
